The box (or any container really) of memories, mementos, random shit that you've collected over the years that you just can't get rid of for whatever reason. Anything that carries any sort of nostalgia or feeling goes in the box to be looked at from time to time to reminisce on “the good ol days”. I think they are a trademark of Millennials almost exclusively.
